Refund and Returns Policy

Overview

At Apno Khet, we take utmost care in delivering healthy, fresh plants and gardening products. However, due to the perishable nature of plants and soil-based items, returns or refunds are only applicable in specific situations. We understand that unexpected issues may occur during transit, and our goal is to resolve them quickly and fairly.

We only accept return or refund requests if the product is received in a visibly damaged or defective condition, or if a wrong item is delivered. To qualify for a refund or replacement, customers must record an uncut video of the entire unboxing process, clearly showing the damaged product. The video and order ID must be emailed to apnokhet@gmail.com within 48 hours of delivery. Claims without a complete unboxing video or those submitted after 48 hours will not be eligible for a refund or replacement.

Refunds

Because plants are living and perishable, we cannot accept returns or offer refunds for reasons such as:

  • Delivery delays caused by courier partners or unforeseen external circumstances.
  • Changes in plant health after delivery due to watering, sunlight, or local climate conditions.
  • Personal preferences, including changes of mind, dislike of color, size, or plant variety after receiving the order.

Once plants leave our nursery, their health can be affected by various external factors, so we can only guarantee replacements in the case of visible damage or wrong item delivery.

Late or missing refunds

If your claim is approved, you may be required to ship the product back to our warehouse. Return shipping costs will be borne by the customer, unless the error was on our part (for example, if the wrong item was shipped). Products must be securely packaged to avoid additional damage during return transit.

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items

Only regular-priced items may be refunded. Sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges

Order cancellations are accepted within 24 hours of placing the order. Requests received after 24 hours may not be accepted if the product has already been processed or shipped. As a growing startup, we always strive to resolve customer issues quickly, though slight delays may occur during peak periods. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will find out about your return.

Shipping returns

This Refund and Return Policy has been created in compliance with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 (India), and follows the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution.

According to Rule 10(1), perishable goods such as live plants are exempt from general return obligations except in cases of damage or incorrect delivery.

Apno Khet reserves the right to update or amend this policy at any time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with a revised effective date. Customers are encouraged to review this policy periodically for the latest version.
